These were the nautical patterns. The Cuba pattern proved a little more difficult - we wanted to do one that reflected the Umbrella, and 1 that referenced the bucket fountain.
I was kind of stumped with this as these were the shapes of the pieces in the bucket fountain but it just didnt make a very good pattern and wasn't very clear as to what it was.
I put it to the group and Celia had a great idea to add splashes to it which I did and it looked much more effective!
My other task was to email the council to try and find out a bit about the piece of art that had been installed in this area recently.
